Course Objectives: Certificate of Completion Awarded
Move beyond basic pistol to more advanced skills training. Develop
a sense of confidence for the student regarding pistol ownership with
focus on healthy, safe, practice with their firearms. Develop strong
confidence with the practical application and use of a pistol as a
method of self-protection. The course strives to establish a level of
comfort for the student regarding moving with loaded firearms
around other people and obstacles and more.

DEFENSIVE PISTOL I (not for first-time-shooters)
7-10 hrs.
Certificate of completion awarded.

Training Focus:
Gear placement -
Holster placement

Drawing from holster and/or concealment

Administrative, tactical and combat reloads
Gun-hand & support-hand shooting.
Malfunctions -
Use of cover and concealment

Point-of-aim / flash sight / and defensive pistol (fast) shooting

Moving and shooting

Shooting positions
Ammunition Requirements:
Minimum of 250 rounds of ball or practice ammunition.
Gear Requirements:

Appropriate holster
-
Pistol - revolver or semi-auto - minimum caliber .38 or 9MM.

(2) Extra Magazines & Holders or pouches for a total of 3 mags minimum. (2 speedloaders if revolver)

Eye & Ear Protection

Knee Pads / Elbow Pads (optional)
